The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth Completion Tracker

Track your Dead God progress with our completion tracker — monitor completion marks, item unlocks, secrets, challenges, and characters for 100% Isaac Rebirth completion.

The Completion Tracker is your personal dashboard for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth progression. Dead God — the ultimate achievement — requires 100% completion across every character, item, secret, challenge, and boss mark. With 34 characters, 640+ secrets, 719+ items, and 45 challenges, tracking progress manually is overwhelming. This tool organizes everything into clear categories with completion percentages, missing entries highlighted, and links to guides for unfinished content.

What Dead God Requires

Dead God in Repentance means achieving the "True Ending" achievement by completing every requirement in the game. This includes all hard mode completion marks on 17 normal characters and 17 Tainted characters, collecting every item in the item pool, finding every secret, beating every challenge, and defeating every boss at least once. Normal mode marks do not count toward Dead God — only hard mode marks on the character sheet matter. Greedier mode marks are required separately from normal run marks.

How to Use the Completion Tracker

Mark items as you unlock them during normal gameplay. The tracker calculates your overall completion percentage and highlights the closest milestones. Filter by character to see which marks remain for a specific character — essential when grinding Tainted Lost hard mode marks or Greedier completions. The missing items list cross-references unlock sources so you know whether to do a specific challenge, boss kill, or secret condition.

  • Fresh save planning — Use the tracker alongside our unlock order guide to avoid diluting item pools early.
  • Character focus — Filter to one character and knock out all remaining marks before switching. Reduces context-switching fatigue.
  • Item hunting — Sort missing items by pool to know where to find them. Devil pool items need devil deals; secret items need specific conditions.
  • Challenge checklist — See which of the 45 challenges remain and what each unlocks. Prioritize high-value unlock challenges first.
  • Dead God countdown — Watch your percentage approach 100% and identify the final few entries blocking completion.

Completion Mark Details

Each character has a grid of completion marks representing boss defeats on hard mode. Marks include: Mom (blue), Heart (red), Boss Rush (silver), Satan (black), Isaac (yellow), Blue Baby (gray), Lamb (dark red), Mega Satan (gold), Hush (light blue), Delirium (purple), Mother (green), Beast (orange), Greed Mode (coin), and Greedier Mode (diamond). Tainted characters have a reduced mark set — no Mom's Heart hard mark, no Tainted character unlock mark, and combined marks for Satan/Isaac/Lamb/??? and Boss Rush/Hush.

Tips for Efficient Completion

Dead God typically takes 500–1500 hours depending on skill and unlock order. Use the tracker to batch similar tasks — do all Greedier marks in one session, all Hush marks in another. Strong characters (Azazel, Tainted Azazel, Tainted Isaac) should handle difficult marks first. Save Tainted Lost, Tainted Jacob, and The Lost marks for when your item knowledge is deep. The tracker's missing secrets list prevents wasted runs hunting secrets you already have.

Sync your tracker progress with in-game collection pages for verification. The game's own statistics screen shows item counts and mark grids, but lacks the cross-category overview the tracker provides. For video guidance on the overall progression path, watch our Dead God guide and follow the Dead God progression page for milestone-by-milestone roadmaps.

Repentance+ Considerations

Repentance+ added new items and potentially new secrets that count toward completion. Update your tracker when new patches release to ensure 100% reflects current content. Co-op can assist with difficult marks but only the host character receives credit — the tracker should reflect host-only progression for accuracy. Online daily run wins have their own rare achievement separate from Dead God but worth tracking for true completionists.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the tracker sync with my Steam save?

The tracker is a manual checklist tool. Mark progress yourself as you achieve unlocks in-game. Automatic save file reading may be added in future updates.

How many hours does Dead God take?

Most players report 500–1500 hours depending on skill, unlock order, and whether they use guides. Tainted Lost and Tainted Jacob marks are typically the longest gates.

Do normal mode marks count for Dead God?

No. Only hard mode completion marks count. However, many unlocks require normal mode boss kills first to access hard mode paths.

What is the rarest Dead God requirement?

Community consensus points to Tainted Lost hard mode marks, Ultra Hard challenge, and the daily run win achievement as the most time-consuming individual requirements.
