The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth — How to Beat Delirium

Delirium is Isaac's morphing final boss found in The Void — a dimension accessed after defeating Hush, Mega Satan, or other major bosses. Delirium transforms into random bosses throughout the fight, inheriting their attack patterns while maintaining boss armor that reduces damage during transformations. The fight tests adaptability more than any other encounter.

Finding Delirium in The Void

The Void contains multiple boss rooms, each housing a different boss. Delirium occupies a 2x2 boss room that connects to only one other room — visualize the map as a grid and identify dead-end 2x2 spaces. Rooms requiring multiple doors or extending beyond the 13x13 map limit cannot contain Delirium. See our video guide below for visual map analysis techniques.

Boss Armor and DPS Windows

Delirium has heavy damage reduction while transformed into other bosses. Focus damage during transformation transitions and when Delirium appears in its true form — a melting blob that slides across the arena. Repentance+ added phase references to the intro narration with unique attacks including TV transformations spawning angel babies or demons, Godhead light beams, and Delirium Mom knife strikes from trap doors.

Recommended Strategies

• Sustained DPS builds — Technology, Brimstone, and Incubus familiars deal damage during armor phases.
• Defensive items — Psy Fly, Host Hat, and Panic Button reduce damage from unfamiliar boss patterns.
• Map the Void first — Clear other boss rooms for items before committing to the Delirium room.
• Practice boss patterns — Knowing transformed boss tells prevents panic dodging.
